Alex is a former professional airline pilot, with experience in almost every facet of aviation at both the general aviation level and scheduled part 121 commuter and legacy carriers. Alex is also a licensed Wealth Planner with financial planning experience dating back almost two decades.
His family history has strong roots in the financial industry and, in addition, Alex has always had an enormous respect for aviation and the professionals serving this industry. After having flown professionally for more than 18 years and experienced the hardships and obstacles that many pilots face throughout their careers and into retirement, he resigned from US Airways in 2002 to create Aviation Retirement Strategies, LLC.
Alex is a graduate from the University of Houston and San Jacinto College, where he earned all of his pilot licenses and rating. He holds degrees in Occupational Technology and Aeronautical Science respectively. As a Retirement Wealth Planner, he attended Rice University, where he earned the title of "Accredited Investment Fiduciary" along with the AIF® designation. He holds a Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination), and a General Lines Insurance License.
Alex lives in Spring, Texas with his wife Dana, his daughter Alexa, and his identical twin boys Adrian, and Jaden.
